The huge island in the northern Atlantic Ocean, about 81% glaciated and mostly uninhabited. Land of Inuit, ice and fjords.
In summer 2010, I joined a group to paddle around the south Greenland fjords for 12 days. I had never kayaked before in my life, but it was a very relaxing experience. The pace of the group was just perfect to enjoy the dramatic scenery around us.
Project North Pole records my travels along the arctic circle. The ultimate goal of this project will be the north pole itself, but this can wait. There is lots of land to see in the process of getting there and even global warming cannot beat me in this attempt.
