Before I left for Spitsbergen, I had absolutely no clue on what to bring with me. Not only because I wasn’t exaclty an experienced trekker, but also because the arctic terrains and weather conditions require a bit more thinking.

So, there I was, going for a walking holiday the first time in my life. Being a very inexperienced trekker, I spent a lot of time thinking about what to bring and what not. See this article on what I actually brought with me. Below, I’ll spend a few lines on how I experienced all this stuff.
Project North Pole records my travels along the arctic circle. The ultimate goal of this project will be the north pole itself, but this can wait. There is lots of land to see in the process of getting there and even global warming cannot beat me in this attempt.
